Over half of Canadians intend to make a charitable donation this year, according to World Vision Canada

World Vision Canada released the results from a recent survey, which found that 56% of Canadians intend to make a charitable donation this year amidst high inflation. Of the 1529 Canadians surveyed from November 12-18, 2024, over half plan to make a donation. Two-thirds (66%) indicated they would prefer to give a charitable gift over traditional material or experiential gifts. While, 66% of Canadians aged 65+ intend to give to charity this year, compared to 52% of 25-64-year-olds, while the intent amongst Gen Z, millennials, and Gen X to give a charitable gift this year is equal across these cohorts.
