Gay Lea Foundation now accepting applications for community impact grants

The Gay Lea Foundation announced applications are now open for the Community Impact Grants program, supporting initiatives in education, health, wellness, poverty relief and sustainable agriculture. 

Community Well-Being Grants

These grants focus on strengthening the fabric of local communities by funding initiatives that:

  • Advance education: Improving access to quality education, promoting lifelong learning, and enhancing skills development.
  • Strengthen health and wellness: Supporting mental, physical, and emotional well-being through community-driven programs.
  • Address poverty relief: Providing essential resources and services to help individuals and families achieve stability.
  • Deliver impactful social programming: Encouraging cultural, recreational, and civic initiatives that foster meaningful community engagement.

Sustainable Agriculture Grants

These grants support initiatives both locally and internationally, that promote innovation and sustainability in agriculture, with funding available for projects that:

  • Enhance agricultural development and innovation: Driving advancements in farming practices, technology, and sustainability.
  • Promote environmental stewardship: Encouraging efforts to protect ecosystems, reduce environmental impact, and conserve resources.
  • Strengthen co-operative organizations locally and globally: Empowering co-operatives to build capacity, drive collaboration, and create opportunities.

Grant Details and Application Process

The Gay Lea Foundation offers grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to support initiatives that foster vibrant communities and promote sustainable agriculture. The deadline for applications is March 14, 2025. Organizations that share these priorities are encouraged to apply and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
