The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Charities Directorate has published the Report on the Charities Program 2023 to 2024.
This report highlights the CRA’s regulatory activities that supported registered charities and other qualified donees from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
The report contains a number of statistics and updates on a variety of topics, such as:
- registration, including the breakdown of applications received and application outcomes
- compliance activities, including the breakdown of audit outcomes and types of revocations
- policy-related activities and stakeholder engagements
- client service standards and the breakdown of enquiries received
- education and outreach activities, including webinars for charities and the Registered Charities Research Survey
- contributions to international and domestic commitments
