The Boston College School of Social Work’s Black Leadership Initiative and Latinx Leadership Initiative encourage students to develop a more nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by specific populations to move closer to solutions.

The Black Leadership Initiative is a unique program taking an Afrocentric approach to social work practice. Emphasis is placed on community, collective action, cultural context, and Ubuntu- the West African concept of shared consciousness and group cohesion. Learn more: https://on.bc.edu/BLI
