In the heart of British Columbia, non-profits tirelessly work to address the pressing needs of our communities. They provide essential services, advocate for justice, and create opportunities for connection and expression. Yet, despite their incredible impact, many non-profits struggle to tell their story effectively. This challenge often stems from limited resources, lack of expertise in storytelling, and the overwhelming demands of mission-driven work.
We know our impact is profound, but without a compelling narrative, our reach remains limited.
The BC Non-Profit Leadership Conference is our premier event designed to bring together non-profit leaders from across the province to develop our collective strength. This year, we move from developing our strengths to sharing about them. This year’s theme, “Our Collective Story: Growing and Sharing our Impact,” promises to be an inspiring and transformative experience for all attendees.
The 2025 conference will take place over two consecutive days – June 5th and 6th, 2025 – one virtual and one in-person. The virtual day, hosted via Zoom Events, allows accessible participation from across the province. The in-person day will be held at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster, BC, providing an opportunity for face-to-face connections.

Meet our Keynote Speakers
This year, we are thrilled to feature two distinguished keynote speakers who bring a wealth of experience and insight to the event and to the power of telling remarkable stories that amplify the importance and impact of non-profits:
Senator Paulette Senior (Virtual – June 5): A lifelong advocate for gender equity and social justice, Senator Senior has led national organizations such as the Canadian Women’s Foundation and YWCA Canada. Senator Senior’s keynote will open our conference and focus on equity-driven leadership and the power of collective action.
Nadia Tchoumi (In-Person – June 6): A media strategist and former journalist specializing in nonprofit storytelling, Nadia Tchoumi is the Media Relations Manager at Union Gospel Mission and founder of New Hope Media. She will offer insights into effective storytelling techniques that resonate with key funders, partners, and the broader community.
