Humanitarian and Development Aid for the World’s Children: Perspectives from the UAE
January 8, 2014

In recent years the UAE has emerged on the global stage as a major provider of humanitarian and development aid to low-income and conflict-affected countries. UAE philanthropic and governmental funding organizations have focused in particular on achieving UN Millennium Development Goal 2, which aims to ensure that by 2015 children everywhere complete a full course of primary education. This roundtable brings together leaders of UAE and international organizations to discuss how such aid can be translated most effectively into programs and policies that promote children’s education and development in the post-2015 era.
