The National Gallery of Canada announced a call for applications for the Rodger and Joann McLennan Canadian War Art Research Fellowship. The National Gallery of Canada’s Canadian War Art Research Fellowship encourages and supports advanced research in Canadian and Indigenous Canadian war and military art. Research must relate to any aspect of Canadian war or military art, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking and other media, and emphasize the use and investigation of the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Canadian War Museum, and Library and Archives Canada. The Fellowship supports original research by scholars undertaking publishing, exhibition, and thesis and dissertation work or their equivalents in Canadian war or military art.
Eligibility
The Fellowship is open to art historians, curators, critics, conservators, graduate students and independent and other professionals working in the visual arts or in museology and related disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, and is open to international applicants.
