Hey friends, it is Tom here and I just read a stat from Gallup Research that says that when someone’s involved in their local community, they are 2.5 times higher and has a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment in the community that they live in. So when we get involved, we actually get benefit out of it, increase happiness, joy, and satisfaction. So if you’re someone who’s not involved, here are three quick ways you can get involved in your local community. Number one, help out the local school. They always need help for sporting events, charity events, fundraisers. Number two, there’s probably some community event that’s going on, a parade, and they always need volunteers for those parades. Or number three, maybe you can get involved by… Join in a local recreational sports team. Pickleball is all the rage now. These small acts can have big rewards for ourselves, not just for the community, but for ourselves. Try it out and see how it works for you to increase your own happiness.
