Applications are now open for the United Way BC’s Work Experience Opportunities Grant, funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia. The Grant Program provides participants on income or disability assistance with essential skills and hands-on paid work experience at nonprofits to improve their employability, preparing them for in-demand jobs. The province-wide grant stream supports BC nonprofits to deliver paid work experience placements while enhancing community benefits for program participants and for the programs offered by nonprofits. 

Eligible Funded Partners: BC registered societies, federal charities, qualified donees and Indigenous partners operating in B.C.

Grant amounts: $5,000 per work placement up to a maximum of 10 placements ($50,000) per year.

Application Deadline: July 15, 2025, at noon (12 PM)
