Call for applications for the Government of Canada‘s Minister’s Advisory Council on Impact Assessment. The Council provides the Minister of Environment and Climate Change with non-partisan advice and recommendations on issues related to the implementation of the impact assessment, regional and strategic assessment regimes set out under the Impact Assessment Act.

The Council is seeking individuals with diverse perspectives and demonstrated expertise related to:

  • Environmental or impact assessments
  • Major project development
  • Public policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Indigenous engagement and reconciliation
  • Strategic leadership and senior executive experience

Applicants must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act)
  • Be unbiased and free of any conflict of interest
  • Not be employed in the Public Service of Canada while serving on MINAC
  • Able to travel across Canada for in-person meetings, when required
