George Brown College is currently recruiting participants for the Building Code Skills Development Program‘s upcoming September intake. This free, full-time 20-week training program prepares participants to pursue meaningful employment in Ontario’s building and construction sectors. Graduates will receive a Building Officials Fundamentals Certificate from George Brown College’s Centre for Continuing Education. The curriculum, developed in partnership with the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA), equips learners to write the BCIN exams for House 2012 and General Legal/Process 2012, ultimately working toward OBOA Building Code Qualified (BCQ) certification in Housing.

Duration:

20-week skills training program and 1-year post-program supports:

  • 8 weeks of Workplace Culture, Occupational Language Training, & Skills Training Preparation
  • 12 weeks of Technical Building Code Skills Training
