Last year on World Refugee Day, the Duolingo English Test announced a partnership with the United Nations’ High Commission on Refugees to create a new university advisor position focused on supporting refugee students as they navigate the university admission and financial aid processes. In honor of this year’s World Refugee Day, we asked our Access Program Advisor, Laura Kaub, about her work and about how universities can best support refugee applicants on the road to studying internationally and seeking higher education.
