The Houssian Foundation announced an open call for grants for The Daylight Fund, which addresses the safety needs of women, 2SLGBTQ+, and non-binary individuals across Canada. The pilot fund aims to support organizations directly working on gender-based safety issues. The Houssian Foundation works exclusively with CRA-registered charities or qualified donees. The Foundation does not provide funding for bursaries, scholarships, or individual financial aid, nor for deficit financing, loans, debt reduction, endowments, or political activities.

The total amount allocated for the Daylight Fund is $500,000, with individual grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 over one year. The first round of funding will be awarded in the Summer of 2025.

Applications close on April 25, 2025.
