The Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Cyclone Carina has caused intense, continous rains across 7 regions, 17 provinces, and 53 cities/municipalities in the Philippines.
According to the Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) for the Philippines, the recent extreme weather has affected 3,000,000 people, with over 270,000 of these people currently displaced from their homes.
Relief International has been responding rapidly ever since the start of the crisis.
We have distributed 150 hygiene kits to 150 households, 75 households received the kits in three barangays in the Municipality of Ligawasan, Special Geographic Area, while another 75 households recieved kits in Barangay Dalgan, Municipality of Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur. The hygiene kits comprised dental kits, sanitary kits, and water containers for potable water.
